Available COEs For Next Three Months Fall By Almost 13%
There will be fewer certificates of entitlement (COE) for the next three months starting February.
The COE quota for February to April will fall by about 12.9%, from 30,143 to 26,357 COEs, announced the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Thursday (January 24).
For Category A cars (up to 1,600cc), the available COEs will shrink by 9.1% to 3,300 a month.
Category B cars (above 1,600cc) will have a quota of 2,471 a month, a fall of 2.9% from last quarter.
Category C vehicles (goods vehicles and buses) will have 608 COEs per month, a fall of 7.6%.
Category D, which is for motorcycles, will have a monthly COE quota of 1,641, a drop of 25% from the last quarter.
COEs for open category vehicles will fall 26.4% to 794 a month.
