COE Prices For Smaller Cars Lowest In Nearly 9 Years
Certificate of entitlement (COE) prices ended mostly lower in the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday (December 5).
The COE premium for Category A cars (up to 1,600cc and 130bhp) closed at S$23,568, down from S$25,000 in the last bidding exercise. This is its lowest level since March 2010.
COE prices for larger Category B cars (above 1,600cc or 130bhp fell to S$31,001 from S$31,101.
Category C vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, fell to S$27,009 from S$27,509.
Premiums for motorcycles, however, increased by S$410 to S$3,399.
On the other hand, open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type except motorcycles but end up being used mainly for larger cars, fell to S$30,851 from S$30,959.
