EZ-Link And Touch ‘n Go To Launch Dual-Currency Combi Card
Singaporeans will soon find it easier to travel to and within Malaysia.
Local card issuer EZ-Link and it’s Malaysian counterpart Touch ‘n Go announced on Tuesday (April 9) that they are planning to introduce a Combi Card, a dual-currency card that can be used in both Singapore and Malaysia.
The card will allow users to pay electronic road pricing in Singapore, highway tolls in Malaysia and parking in both countries. In the future, consumers will also be able to use the card for shopping and dining transactions.
The card will store the Singapore dollar and Malaysian ringgit separately. This means that you can’t use your Singapore dollar to pay for purchases or services denominated in ringgit, and vice versa.
The Combi Card is slated to be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.
