NUS And NTU Rise In Global University Rankings
The National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have proven themselves on global university rankings again, clinching several spots on a ranking that compares universities by subject.
In the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject released on Wednesday (February 27), Singaporean universities had 14 subjects that were ranked in the global top 10. This was more than the combined totals achieved by China (4), Hong Kong (3) and Japan (3).
Of the Singaporean ranked 14 subjects, NUS had 9 subjects ranked in the top 10, while NTU had 5.
Singapore Management University broke into the top 50 for the first time since 2015, reaching its highest-ever position of 41.
QS noted that Singaporean universities are improving, with 41 of 76 ranked university departments rising in ranks year on year.
