Residential Gas Tariffs To Increase By 2.29% From November Till Year End
Gas tariff for households will increase by 2.29% for the period of November 1 to December 31, announced City Gas Pte Ltd on Wednesday (October 31).
This translates to an increase of 0.44 cent per kilowatt hour (kWh), from 19.23 cents per kwh to 19.67 cents per kwh.
The increase is due to rising fuel costs, which are higher compared to the previous quarter.
City Gas said that the gas tariffs are reviewed based on guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority (EMA). EMA has approved the gas tariffs for the two-month period:
(with 7% GST)
|General Tariff (cents/kWh)||19.23||19.67||21.05|
|Bulk Tariff A (cents/kWh)|
1,000 kWh of gas per month
|Bulk Tariff B (cents/kWh)|
50,000 kWh of gas per month
