Woman Printed S$50 Currency Using Own Printer And Used Them For Shopping
A 30-year-old-woman was arrested after using fake S$50 notes at retail outlets and convenience stores in Hougang and Tampine housing estates.
The woman is said to have printed several pieces of S$50 notes with her printer and have used the fake notes to purchase items.
According to the police, multiple reports were made between 16 June and 20.
Following the rampant circulation of fake S$50 and S$100 notes, the public have been warned of possessing counterfeit currency notes that could land them in jail for up to 20 years.
