iMoney is the market leader for financial aggregators across Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. We provide a range of solutions to our B2C and B2B customers looking for financial advice and providing them with the right package to suit their needs. We are currently looking for a business development manager based in our Singapore office and to join our ever-growing team.


Job Description

Background:
The Business Development Manager is a business development & sales role designed to build iMoney’s commercial sales and longer-term partner development in Singapore. The role reports to the Head of Business Development and works closely with internal teams to execute the ambitious expansion of our business development activities in Singapore. The role exists to grow iMoney’s media and lead sales revenue providing bank partners, agencies and brands with first rate display, content and lead generation solutions leveraging on iMoney’s unique audience. This role is best suited to someone who can work independently and has the ability to hit financial targets. The ability to adapt, think out of the box, be self-motivated and have keen attention to detail are vital.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving revenue and building a company sales game plan
  • Display a thorough understanding of client business needs and revenue potential
  • Grow & maintain both bank/advertiser and agency relationships to effectively build and grow ad revenue
  • Be able to understand and interpret financial products and the mechanism to ensure all products contain up to date, and accurate information
  • Prepare innovative sales proposals to meet client’s needs and expectations
  • Present, negotiates and sell online media solutions to prospective agency and direct clients, typically pitching to bank product managers, advertising agency media planners and marketing managers
  • Coordinate with junior commercial managers to ensure commercial campaigns are active and performing
  • Responsible to oversee and ensure the correct follow-up with clients
  • Recommending effective media solutions and proving campaign updates to ensure that our advertisers are satisfied with their ROI
  • Responsible to report weekly sales achievements and pipeline growth

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in business, marketing or another relevant field
  • Understanding of consumer banking products is preferred
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and experience in business development
  • Ability to communicate value proposition to potential partners, with experience likely gained from a consultative, solutions-based, business development environment
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Singapore marketplaces and consumer behaviour is desirable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and professional “get it done” attitude. Strong work ethic with energetic and driven personality
  • A problem solver who is dynamic, motivated and process oriented with the determination to succeed
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a team player
  • Past success in acquiring, mentoring and building productive long-term customer relationships
  • Sales-hungry, energetic and driven personality
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communicator who expresses facts and ideas in a clear, convincing and organized manner
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to establish relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps suite
  • To be equipped with basic digital media knowledge, such as publishing platforms, social media, SEO and basic Google Analytics
  • Ideal candidate would have 4+ years of experience in a business development role dealing with advertising agencies
